It is with great sadness that we announce the permanent closure of the Family Fun Center XL. March 3rd 2019, was our final day of business. We have been proud to be Omaha's family entertainment center for the past 37 years. We originally opened the Family Fun Center at 72nd and Dodge back in 1982 and moved to our new Family Fun Center XL location at 108th and L Street in 2012. Seven years later we have unfortunately found it impossible as a family-owned business to keep our doors open any longer with the changing times of video games in everyone's homes & smart phones, as well as many other factors. Obviously, it has been difficult for other entertainment centers as well. Our closure and later this month Skatedaze's closure, will mark the 5th family entertainment center to close in the past 6 months in the Omaha market alone.

We are so thankful to our loyal customers over the past 37 years. One of the best parts of having a long-time business like ours has been having customers come in who tell us that they used to come in as a kid and now they bring their own kids in, which has expanded to grandparents who came in as kids bringing in their grandkids! We worked hard to provide a place that offered the coolest fun at a reasonable price that all families could afford. Also we are eternally grateful to our many employees over the years, over 2,000 people who are Family Fun Center staff alumni. Some who have gone on to be attorneys, doctors, teachers, business owners, parents and grandparents as well. Thanks for being part of our family. We wish the best futures for all of you.

We were there when Ms. Pac-Man was a brand new game, we survived the arcade crash of the late 80s, we saw the fighting and dancing game craze of the 90s, we expanded with new attractions in the 2000s like lasertag and paintball, we moved to a new facility that was bigger and more modern in the two-thousand-teens. Unfortunately, the final chapter has come to an end for us. Thank you Omaha for all the great memories and to everyone who has been a part of the fun over the years!
